TabTrade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
